I graduated from Alexandria university faculty of commerce accounting department in 1993 and got my MBA in project management in 1996
I had several jobs including banking and undergraduate teaching but mostly worked as a jeweler all my adult life as this is our family business
My passion for furniture styles started at the early age of 12 as I used to gather scraps of “house and garden ”and“ architectural digest” of the designs I like.
At 39 I decided to pursue this hobby and started a facility of old furniture renovation which I enjoyed so much as I worked with my own hands with paint
and fabric. In 2018 I joined Dr. Pakinam Awad in opening our first furniture gallery
in Alexandria.
Our aim is to expand our business into other branches in Cairo and Alexandria and that PM lounge becomes a furniture brand on its own

Dr. Pakinam Awad
Pakinam has become a prominent expert in the interior design field, she was born in Alexandria city where the art of architectures shows its elegant luxuries architectural design. She finished her high school in Kaumeya Language School and graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts. She is Lecturer in Faculty of Fine Arts – Interior Design Department , Alexandria University with major of Interior Designs, Alexandria University. Later she finished her Masters and PhD.
She loved her career and looking forward to be different and unique. Pakinam loves creative ideas, the mixing various materials and playing with light in space which delivers different look in her designs. Client satisfaction has always been the goal of Pakinam, this can only be achieved by planning layouts, furniture designs through workshops as well as execution projects.
Pakinam is regularly profiled in national and international magazines and other media outlets as IMAGE magazine, LE SALON AND SIGNE one of Egyptian top interior design Magazines that devoted an entire issue to over 50 of the design group’s projects, she was also promoted as one of the best 100 designers in Cairo. Design Award Competition in 2017, also awarded in Luxury Style Competition as Best Luxury Residential Interior Design and Best Luxury Commercial Office interior.
